Seasonal Retail Sales Associate

Amazing opportunity to work for Mure + Grand during the most festive months of the year! We are looking for outgoing, talented individuals who are available for full-time positions, and part-time positions at our holiday market pop-ups. Ability to work on Saturday's, late nights, and holidays is a must.

Every year we participate in the iconic holiday markets throughout New York, including Bryant Park Holiday Market and Union Square Holiday Market. It's a fast paced environment with exposure to people from all over the world visiting to experience the magic of the holidays in New York. And we've been a part of delivering an amazing experience for the last six years running!

Employment Dates and Info ❁→

✷ Employment start date is October 24th, to help with setup of the booth and to start training
✷ Opening date of the pop-up is October 27 and runs through January 2
✷ From Friday-Sunday the markets will stay open until 11pm, and extended holiday hours during the week will begin mid-November, so it will be expected to stay until 11pm for closing shifts
✷ The holiday markets stay open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day, so being available to work on the holidays is a must
✷ Opening shifts start at 9:00am


Job Duties and Responsibilities  ❁→

  • Greet customers and determine their wants and needs
  • Recommend, select and help locate the right merchandise
  • Remain knowledgeable on products and discuss available options
  • Describe a product's features and demonstrate use
  • Help customers try on or fit merchandise
  • Answer customer queries regarding the store and the merchandise
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in the store
  • Restock inventory
  • Stay up to date on all promotions and special offers
  • Open/close cash register and balance cash drawer
  • Receive and process cash,  and charge/credit payments
  • Calculate discounts and special offers accurately
  • Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, know how to prevent or handle these situations
  • Exchange merchandise for customers
  • Bag or package purchases, and wrap gifts
  • Clean shelves, counters, floors and tables

  • Reliable, hardworking, enthusiastic, with the ability to perform multiple assignments at the same time
  • Ability and willing to work on weekend and holidays
  • Ability to learn the art of professional greeting and attracting passive consumers
  • Physically fit to stand for long periods, and ability to lift moderate to heavy boxes
